Eat Pray Love movie review & movie trailer. The much awaited movie, ”Eat Pray Love”,based on Elizabeth Gilbert's memoire of same name stars Julia Roberts as Gilbert.
Liz played by Roberts, is not happy with her life, her marriage to Stephen (Billy Crudup), even though she has everything like a successful career, a natty place in New York and a hot husband. Stephen wants kids and a home while Liz wants adventure and travel, which leads to their divorce.
Liz falls once again in love with meditating actor-boy David (James Franco), but she dumps him too. She is confused about what she really wants from her life. But after meeting a healer and palm reader in Bali during her previous trip, she decides to leave everything and spend a year travelling to Italy (for the eat part), India (the pray part) and Indonesia (the love part) to find her inner self.
The first place she visits is Rome where she restores her soul and learns to speak Italian and eats so much that she has to buy bigger jeans to fit in.
Then she goes to India for her spiritual quest and find a way to her life. She stays in an ashram where she meets Richard, a Texan, who is recovering from an unsuccessful marriage due to his love for drugs, sex and booze. She also meets a teenager, Tulsi, who is forced into an arranged marriage.
Finally she comes to Bali where she meets a healer and finds a balance in her life until she meets a Brazilian businessman with three kids. Felipe, the divorced Brazilian with a broken heart makes her wonder if she is ready to fall in love again.
